Russian Revolution

The Russian Revolution is a term which got used for a series of revolutions in Russia in 1917, which dismantled the Tsarist autocracy and led to the creation of the Russian SFSR.
The February Revolution which took place in March 1917 was focused around Petrograd (now St. Petersburg). 

A period of Dual Power during the Provision Government held state power while the national network of Soviets got led by socialists, during this chaotic period of time there were many protests and strikes to stop the War with Germany. 

The Provisional Government choose to fight the German's even tho there were many strikes to stop. The Blosheviks turned workers militias under their control into the Red Guards which later turned into the Red Army.
