ENVIRONMENTAL POSTER STYLE RESEARCH
Antonio Carusone
Was born in Queens, New York into a colorful Italian family. Carusone has been in creative arts sine he was young.He currently resides in New York City where he's an Associate Creative Directior at Ogilvy. He has also won Caple Design Awards for his work on Wisk and Jose Cuervo.
Here is some examples of Carusone's work he creates some nice simple posters which In my opinion look really nice because of the mixture of colours and because of how simple they look.

Swiss Dots, the producers of the Helvetica documentary, have create this new limited-edition screenprint for the film. The print is inspired by a 1960’s design that has been seen on D. Stempel AG brochures, type specimens and posters — which has been making an appearance on the TV show, Mad Men.

David Mackenzie Ogilvy was born in West Horsley, England, on June 23, 1911. He was educated at Fettes College in Edinburgh and at Christ Church, Oxford (although he didn't graduate).
In 1938, Ogilvy emigrated to the United States, where he went to work for George Gallup's Audience Research Institute in New Jersey. Ogilvy cites Gallup as one of the major influences on his thinking, emphasizing meticulous research methods and adherence to reality.
In 1948, he founded the New York-based ad agency Hewitt, Ogilvy, Benson & Mather (which eventually became Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide), with the financial backing of London agency Mather & Crowther. He had never written an advertisement in his life.
Thirty-three years later, he sent the following memo to one of his partners:
Will Any Agency Hire This Man?He is 38, and unemployed. He dropped out of college.
He has been a cook, a salesman, a diplomatist and a farmer.
He knows nothing about marketing and had never written any copy.
He professes to be interested in advertising as a career (at the age of 38!) and is ready to go to work for $5,000 a year.I doubt if any American agency will hire him.However, a London agency did hire him. Three years later he became the most famous copywriter in the world, and in due course built the tenth biggest agency in the world.The moral: it sometimes pays an agency to be imaginative and unorthodox in hiring.
Some of Ogilvy's work which i think is really good to look at because the artwrok is very simplistic and easy to tell what he means which is important in designing posters.
I think that all of the above posters are great as they all send out a strong message. My personal favourite is the one about Buildings "Buildings bring down their own enegry costs." I really like this particular poster because of the simplicity. The buildings are very simple its beasically few rectangles which were streched and then few arrows got added which had the same colour as the background which is a very simple design with a very strong message and thats what makes these posters special.

CHESTERFIELD
Today we had to go down to chesterfield to take some pictures of Visual Signage and some of the Buildings. We had to take them pictures to help us in the future project which will be on Chesterfield. We were meant to walk around the Town and take pictures of what ever we liked e.g. Architecture and Signs.

EVALUATION
Today we had to create A4 Collograph plate with the life drawing drawings but before we had to create (minimum of 6) loose charcoal drawings from selected life drawings which I've completed with 9 drawings after that we had to collect some materials to make a A4 Collograpgh.
Then we had to start making our A4 collograph plate and use diffrent techniques to create it I used some cutting and sticking method as well as that I got some string and stuck it on my Plate we used PVA to stick our materials in and we had to PVA all of the work so it looks shiny.
I didint manage to completly finish my palet but were gonna get some time on it next week so we all can finish it im gonna try fill my drawing in with some material like ( net, string , wallpaper etc)

MAGAZINE ARTICLE
The Graphic Design were late to embrace the web. The low resolution of the computer interface has for a long time off designers. When Graphic Designers realised they should get involved in Web Design. Many of the Graphic Designers made the mistake of transporting what they did on paper to the new medium and this resulted in loads of JPGS.
Maybe the biggest reason the Graphic Designers held back was because the visual aspect is a small part of overall site design. Web Design has to pay attention to
jmatters that are treated routinely in print media.
Graphic Designers are teaming up with illustrators, software operators, editional and interaction designers. The best thing designers can offer to this multifaceted medium is visual clarity and consistency.

KID ACNE ESSAY
Kid Acne was born Lilongwe Malawi in 1978. He grew up in Lutterworth Leicestershire and is currently based in Sheffield. He started drawing graffiti when he was 12 he was inspired by its infinite scale and colour. I really like his work because of the style he has and the way he draws the massive graffiti writing which is normally white colour and has a black drop shadow.
As you can see his work is really big and is white colour and has a black drop shadow which i think looks really good. Also he creates large pieces of graffiti writing which has some intresting slogans which say "IT'LL DO FOR NOW" and "STICK TO THE PLAN"
He draws his graffiti in public places all over the world so that people notice it really easily.
In my opinion he has a very Unique style which makes his work stand out.

SUSTAINABLE FISHING
The future of the fish supper is on longer guaranteed because many fish stocks are in state of serious decline because of overfishing a great threat to Marin wildlife and habitats. With almost 80% of worlds fish stock full or over exploited from fishing, plus pressure from climate change and pollution, we're moving into dangerous waters when it comes to the fish future.
If people don't change anything about how much fish we get this will affect all the fishermen because they will loose their jobs where people will just not be able to eat as much fish but its a big change for the fishermen because it will change everything for them their whole life because they spent most of their time on water it will be a big change for them changing their job and working in e.g. office where theres no water as well as the fishermen it will affect different species because excessive fishing threats them with extinction
The big organisations which a trying to do something about this are Greenpeace, Marine conservation society and Marine Stewardship Council these 3 organisations are the main ones which are trying to change something about this Fishing issue.
All what we can do is fish at certain times of the year like e.g. summer and only fish certain species like don't only fish 1 and same fish all the time because that will just make it even worse so we have to try fish different types of fish to stop this issue.

What is Greenwash?
Greenwashing is smiply what companies do to sell their products say like companies advertise a Diesel Car which is Eco friendly but thats not true their just lying and trying to make us buy the product which makes it even worse for the environment and that isint just annoying its dangerous for the environment.

What is a degree?
An degree is a position and title within a college or university that is awarded in recognition of the recipient having either satisfactorily completed a course of study. The most common degrees awarded today are Bachelor's, Master's, and doctoral degrees.
What is a foundation degree?
A foundation degree is the equivalent of the first two years of an Honours degree, may be studied full or parttime, and consist of academic study integrated with relevant workbased learning undertaken with an employer. It may be studied as a stand-alone qualification or upon completion you may progress to the final year of an Honours degree.
How long do i study for?
It all depends on the course you choose becasue they can take from like 2 years to about 7 years and it depends if your gonna choose Full Time or Part Time studying.
