Computer

A computer is a device which gets programmed to make operations which are requested by the user. The computer can make do many things at once e.g. solve few problems at the same time. A computer consists of few elements the main ones are the: Central Processing Unit (CPU) and the Memory (RAM).

The Computers consisted of 2 main things in the past where as now a Computer Consists of CPU, RAM, Hard drive, Graphics Card and many more elements. The Computers have change a lot since the past computers, now we can talk to computers, ask them to do something, use them to be creative. The first working programmable fully automatic machine was the Z3 by a German inventor Konrad Zuse. The Z3 was made in 1941.

The first computers were developed between 1940 and 1945 in the United Kingdom and United States. The first ever computers were size of a Room and consumed as much power as a few hundred modern computers. The computers we are able to use now are millions to billions of times more capable than the early version and also they take a lot less space.

In 1950s many artists and designers worked with mechanical devices and the Analogue Computers. One of the Designers Ben Laposky created a Oscillon 40 in the 1952. He used a oscilloscope to manipulate electronic waves which appeared on a small screen. The waves would be constantly moving and undulating on the display and it was impossible to record the results on paper so they had to use Photography to capture the results

One of the really old computers which took a huge amount of space. It was called DM IBM S360.

Acorn Microcomputer which didint even have a screen.

Intertec Superbrain which looks to me a developed version of the Acorn Microcomputer.

Nasa's Super Computer Base in Columbia.

A modern style Laptop made by Acer.
